The North Shore Bike Swap helps others too...

Items not picked up after the swap on Sunday, are donated to this worthy program; a charitable organization pioneered on the north shore by James Wilson of Obsession Bikes (formerly Dizzy Cycles North Vancouver). With the NSMBA Gear Swap adding to effort, previously owned kids and adult bikes from other events, are maintained and distributed to kids in need of a bike, in the community.

Bikes for Tykes, with The North Shore Outlook, Family Services of the North Shore, Hollyburn Family Services, Big Brothers and Big Sisters works with local communities interested in helping this worthy cause.

Last year the program was a genuine success. We received 110 bikes and reallocated 60 to new recipients. One short fall this year was the lack of 26" and 24" wheeled bikes for older or bigger kids. Your addition to this needy group is appreciated. All unclaimed goods at the NSMBA Vancouver Bike Swap will be donated to Bikes for Tykes.
